The financial services arm of the retail giant Sainsbury’s was formed in 1997, was the first supermarket bank in the UK and is a joint venture between Sainsbury’s and Lloyds Banking Group. Sainsbury’s Bank provides a range of financial products including insurance, credit cards, savings and loans. Sainsbury's Bank products are linked to the Nectar reward scheme.
