A bunch of roses for tbp
Date Added: Tue 28 June 2011
Service Graphics client tbp! won a number of awards at The Roses Advertising Awards 2011 held at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel, Manchester. They won a gold award in the ‘Ambient Media/Stunts’ category and a silver award in the ‘Unusual Size or Special Build’ category for their ‘Feel Free – Button Badge Wall’ campaign for citizenM Hotels.
They also won a gold award in the ‘Outdoor Campaign’ category and the Ray Sale Chairman’s Award for ‘Feel Free – Subway Activity’ a poster campaign for citizenM that was used on the Glasgow Underground.

We worked closely with tbp to create the Button Badge Wall which was used in a number of city centre locations to promote the newly opened citizenM hotel in Glasgow. Attached to the wall were 2,000 badges which passers-by were encouraged to take and these were replenished throughout the day.
We produced the wall using a modular aluminium frame which was weighted down internally with sandbags. The graphics were printed directly onto aluminium composite panels using our Inca direct to substrate printer. The Inca uses UV curing ink, which combined with the aluminium panels, was the perfect solution for the external graphics.
This was a really unusual project to be involved with and we are delighted that tbp! has received recognition for this.
