St Ives plc is pleased to announce that it has made an investment in Sponge Limited, a leading provider of mobile marketing solutions.
The investment in Sponge represents a further step in St Ives' strategy to create a complementary range of digital and marketing services that will enable the Group to add value to existing and new clients.
Established in 2002, Sponge provides mobile marketing solutions and mobile services to a number of leading global brands including adidas, Coca Cola and McDonald's. The business employs 22 staff and is headquartered in central London. St Ives is investing in order to enhance the Group's ability to deliver marketing strategy and communications across a broad range of channels, whilst accelerating Sponge's expansion.
Following the investment, Sponge will work closely with St Ives but will continue to be managed by the existing management team from its current premises.

SP helps store chain increase sales
Countrywide Farmers is a chain of 47 stores serving the rural community with everything from farming and equestrian supplies through to country clothing and Christmas gifts. The business has taken an innovative approach to increase sales by clever use of data and digital print to improve in-store promotional merchandising.
“Our product range has become varied and complex. We identified variable data printing as the most efficient way to manage price and promotional information,” says Rebecca Barningham, group marketing manager.

Biodegradable graphics for EDF sustainability project
Service Graphics, the large format print sister division of SP, has created a biodegradable graphic display for EDF Energy's customer contact centre. Service Graphic's innovative concepts, environmentally sound product knowledge and technological capabilities saw them selected to produce and install a permanent interactive sustainability room at EDF Energy's Doxford Park site. The room is designed to generate awareness and debate on sustainability and carbon reduction amongst employees and visitors.

Royal Mail stamp of approval for St Ives
20 September 2010 – St Ives’ Service Graphics division earned plaudits from Royal Mail recently for its contribution to a successful exhibit at the Festival of Stamps. St Ives printed, finished and installed graphics for Royal Mail’s stand at the eight-day event located at the Business Design Centre, Islington.

St Ives implements Epicor software
St Ives Group today announced that they will be implementing Epicor next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite. The Epicor solution will replace St Ives’ existing core financial solutions and a bespoke planning solution within the Service Graphics Division.
As part of a review of its financial and ERP systems, the company sought greater instant visibility of the business and efficiency savings through the standardisation of processes and systems.

The system also enables Area Managers to personalise marketing campaigns for individual restaurants to support local store marketing activity.
